I had the opportunity to visit Moscow in the autumn of 2021, and it was then that I met beautiful Kristina. However, I did notice something strange: her English pronunciation was very different than most Americans' pronunciations of words with foreign roots. For example, her word for "apple" is pronounced differently than any other word with foreign roots (such as "aple"). Even her word for "table" is pronounced slightly differently than any other word with foreign roots ("такой", "тобой", etc.). These little details make a huge difference in terms of how easily and effectively someone can communicate with them. All in all, it was amazingly excursive, and it definitely stays with us today because of its unique nature.
